International experience of citizen engagement in prevention of criminal offences

The objective of the article is to study international experience involving citizens in prevention and fight against crime. research methodology includes following legal, general, special methods: logical method, hermeneutic monographic comparative legal sociological methods, abstract-logical method. views Ukrainian foreign academics on problem cooperation with police prevent combat crime are examined. It analyses individual countries around world peculiarities prevention. examinesin detail practice such as United States, Great Britain, Germany, a few others. To achieve this objective, relevant government regional programmes these states were studied necessary data analyzed. concluded that they haveidentified circumstances participation population Ukraine. As result, suggest appropriate ways solve problems.
